Seniors: We host Magheracloone in the SFL semi-final this Sunday at 2pm. Please come out to cheer the team in their bid to qualify for the league final. Last Sunday saw us earn a 1-16 to 1-9 win in Doohamlet. We started very slowly against the wind, falling behind by 1-6 to 0-1, but had closed the gap to three (1-7 to 0-7) by half-time, before getting on top in the second half, with Shane Smyth scoring our goal late on.

Minors: Our minor footballers fell just short with a brave comeback in the MFL Division One Final against Carrickmacross in Oram last Saturday. A disastrous start saw us concede an unanswered 2-3 in the first 11 minutes and it was 2-7 to 0-1 at half-time, with our only score coming from Evan Morahan. Carrick added the first two points of the second half, but a Dónal McCarthy goal finally got our lads going, with points from Kevin Loughran (two) and Fearghal McMahon closing the gap. Evan gave us renewed hope when he found the net and Kevin also fired to the net to set up an exciting finish, but Carrick held on to win by 2-10 to 3-4 and complete the double. Thanks to the players, Brian Lenehan, Michael Buckley, Gary White and Nicholas Scott for their efforts.

Team and scorers: Darragh Hannon; Mustafa Gamal, Carl Foentjies, Conor Burns; Turlough Clerkin, Kevin Loughran (1-2), Tiarnán Bramley; Niall Treanor (Capt.), Dónal McCarthy (1-0); Ahmed Gamal, Evan Morahan (1-1), Francis Lynch; Ciarán McQuaid, Fearghal McMahon (0-1), John Mulligan.

Subs: Jason McHugh for A Gamal (H-T), Kevin Lyden for Lynch (40 mins).
