Donaghmoyne v Cúchulainn na Sairséalaigh : In the Maguire International Minor Div.2 C’ship Final played out on a wet and windy Clontibret O’Neill pitch on Sunday20th last, a more physical and focused Donaghmoyne combination, emerged victorious on a score line of 4-6 to 1-7. While the slippery underfoot conditions ruled out many passages of free flowing football, both teams served up an entertaining curtain raiser to the Intermediate Final. A Donaghmoyne goal after 10 minutes gave them a distinct edge, and they led by 1-2 to 0-2 at half time. In the second half, each team converted a penalty, and, with ten minutes to go, only two points separated the sides, but a late scoring spree by the Reds ensured that the victory celebrations would take place later in the Donaghmoyne Centre.
