The Grattan’s take the Senior Hurling Double

Last Sunday in Clontibret the scene was set for Inniskeen to capture the illusive Senior Hurling Double.

Having already put Castleblaney to the sword to secure the championship, the Grattans took on Truagh in the Silver Foods Hurling league final.

Truagh caused the upset of the season when they dumped a much fancied Blaney outfit from the semi final by an epic score line of 2-15 to 5-07, so the lads knew they had to be at their best to go toe to toe with the Gaels.

The game ebbed and flowed; however 3 goals from the Grattan’s eventually undid Truagh. The first of the goals came from County Minor Star, Donal Meegan and the other 2 came from Ciaran Mc Kinnely who was making his Grattans Debut from Loughgiel Shamrocks, Co Antrim.

The win capped a fantastic season here in Monaghan and sets the lads up for the Ulster Intermediate Hurling Championship this Sunday (13th) in Crossmaglen.

We meet the Armagh champions Cuchulainns and the throw in is at 1.45pm.

On behalf of all the Inniskeen Members and Committee we want to congratulate Brian and the boys for their achievements to date and wish them the very best in Ulster.

Please come out and support the lads this Sunday in Cross.

KNOCKOUT Cancer

The Fight for Life is Coming to Dundalk

Dundalk get ready to rumble.

Whitecollarboxing.ie along with Inniskeen Ladies GAA proudly brings you ‘Knockout’. This unique event is sponsored by Vanity Nightclub, Carrickmacross.

The girls are ditching the pitch and leaving the boots behind to have a battle in the boxing ring for the first time to raise much needed funds for their football Club and Carrickmacross Cancer Society.

After undertaking an intensive 6 week training programme in preparation; our 30 newly trained male and female boxers will get the ultimate opportunity to show off their skills and climb into the boxing ring to fight against cancer and for the Inniskeen Ladies Football Club.

The show starts at 8pm on Saturday 9th November in Oriel Park, Dundalk.

To support this fundraising fight, please purchase your ticket today.

Standard tickets are priced at €10 and optional VIP ticket upgrades can be purchased on the night. Tickets can be bought from the club or from any of the participants.

There will be 15 fights in total and after a DJ will provide knockout entertainment continuing late into the night. All the proceeds from this show will provide vital funds for the Carrickmacross Cancer Society and the Inniskeen Ladies Football Club.
