Seniors:

The Intermediate Football League returned last weekend as the seniors took on Corduff at home on Sunday afternoon. This was a crucial match as the lads needed a win to qualify for the league semi final. It was Corduff who were strongest in the opening half making the most of the strong breeze. But at the half time change over the balance of power swung in Donaghmoynes favour and they worked their way back into the game. With very little time left the sides were level and thankfully the lads got the vital point needed to take the spoils and qualify for the league semi final. They will face Traugh in the league semi final away from home on November 10th. Details to come.

Minors:

Our Minors took on Killany in the league final last Saturday in the second of their two finals this season. The lads once again started off the quickest but after that went out of the game for a period. In the second half they dug deep and started to get the scores needed, and eventually they ran out 9 point victors and also it meant that they had completed the League and Championship Double. This achievement is nothing less than these lads deserve, not only this year but in years gone past. A huge congratulations must go out to both the management and this set of players and hopefully they can use this as a great stepping stone for next year and also for the lads moving on from minor to senior.

The club would like to extend their sympathies to Paddy Martin and the Martin family on the death of his mother Rita Martin formally of Creevy. Also we would like to commiserate with Amanda Casey and family and also Shelly Mc Garrell and family on the death of Joe Mc Mahon formally of Doohamlet.

Ladies

Seniors:

Our senior girls took Termon in the final of the Ulster Championship replay last Saterday afternoon in Trillick. The girls knew they would be up against it just like they were the week before but they took this in their stride. The girls put in a strong performance from start to finish and they ran out comprehensive victors which means the girls retained their Ulster title and are still on course to keep their All Ireland title. Keep up the good work girls!

Our Senior C team took on Seans in the league final last Sunday afternoon. This was a tight encounter from start to finish with both sides fighting hard to take the spoils. Unfortunately on the day the girls just hadn’t enough to get the win. But they can keep their heads held high, a very young time competing very well in a tough division means there is plenty to look forward to for the future!

Reserves:

Our Reserve side take on Monaghan Harps in the league final this Saturday. Check official fixtures for the venue and time but come along on Saturday to support the girls as they bid to win another piece of silverwear.
