Juvenile Presentation: A presentation to our Juvenile teams will take place this Saturday night 26th October at 7pm in the Clubhouse. Some of the Ulster winning Monaghan team will be present on the night and we urge everybody to come down and support our underage teams who had a very successful year.

Congratulations: To Daniel McKenna and Arthur Kierans who were crowned BRC Rally 2 champions at the weekend.

Congratulations: To Scotstown GFC who won the Monaghan SFC last weekend.

Promoting Our Lotto:

With the football season now over for us, we are concentrating on promoting our club lotto, an invaluable source of income for our club. Taking just one expenditure section of our club, i.e the underage section, bus hire is required for every away fixture, go-games, blitzes, etc. We also finance our local Latnamard NS bus hire to away fixtures and related trips, medical and physio’s expenses. All amount to a sizeable bill at the end of the year. We are pleased with the response to our initiative so far, with quite a few new first time members coming on board, whose children are beginning to play at school and club level. We are indebted to our local coach Dermot Brady who coaches all the pupils in the school. While ensuring that the children are enjoying the exercise sessions, Dermot also incorporates the basic skills of gaelic football which gets the children interested in playing football for the school and club. We will continue to focus on this area of club expenditure for another couple of weeks thus ensuring that we will continue to provide the best coaches, best practice and best facilities for our young players.

Ten Years On: It was recalled by some who attended last weekend’s Intermediate Football Championship Final in Clontibret that we are now a full ten years on from our own historic success of 2003. While our captain on the day and bionic man Mark McBride is still going strong, others have not stood the test of time quite so well with certain men (who will remain nameless) not feeling they were up to jumping the wire in Clontibret anymore.

There was a huge Aghabog Support in Threemilehouse for the Spraoi Scor last Friday night. Our entries performed brilliantly on the night and deserve enormous credit for their great efforts.
