Blayney Hurling Club Notes
The U16s
The U16s lost out to Truagh last Tuesday evening in a game which ended their campaign for 2013.
Despite missing some key players due to football commitments, the team gave a good account of themselves but just came up short on the night. Best for blayney were Pauric Malone, James Carville, Colin Merrick, Ronan Merrick, Brandon Rice and Shane Buckley.
Although this was a disappointing note to end the year on, lots of positives can be taken from the year with many of the players well capable of making the step up to minor level.
Finally thanks to all of the parents who drove to matches during the year

Gathering :
As part of the Gathering the Castleblayney Hurling Club are organising a reunion of the 1988 team that won the county Championship 25 years ago on Saturday 5th October. Also that day we will be organising our annual charity match between the past players and the present at the Pitch at Concra .
There will be a meal and music in the Glencarn that night All past players , current players and parents of our fantastic juvenile
