U 16- St Pats 1-10 Clontibret 1-8 – St Pats are division 1 championship winners after a really hard fought win over a gallant Clontibret side on Thursday evening last. This was a game where St Pats staged a smash and grab act in the final ten minutes to forge ahead and claim the title. Clontibret were the best team for long periods but it was St Pats never say die ability to hang in there that left them in a position to go and win it at the end. It took a wonder goal from Ronan Duffy to give the lads the belief they could do it. There was great celebrations afterwards as joint captains Michael and Simon Duffy lifted the cup. Well done to the panel of players who have put in a massive effort all season and to the management team of Martin Duffy, Gavin Sherdian, Colm Duffy and Enda Monaghan who have spent a lot of time coaching the boys. Thoughts now will turn to the league semi-final which will take place shortly.
U-14– Drumhowan must now meet Aghabog in a playoff. The winner will be in the cup final v Killeevan and the loser plays Rockcorry in the shield final. No Date fixed for these games yet.
U-12- This side have a massive game in Drumhowan on this Friday night at 6-45pm against Emyvale in the Div. 1B League semi-final. Again we would request a big home support to come out and cheer on the team.
