Ulster Final: Congratulations to Darren & Kieran Hughes and Rory Beggan on their fantastic victory over Donegal in the Ulster Senior Football Final on Sunday. Well done also to the victorious county Minor team, who included Conor Forde and Conor McCarthy in the starting line-up, substitute Michael McCarville, with Caolan McElwain and Donnacha Dolan also on the panel. Comhghairdeas!

Seniors & Minors: The fixture list will be disrupted due to Monaghan’s continuing involvement in the Championship, with both the county Senior and Minor teams in action again on the August bank holiday weekend. Our Minors were due to be in action on Tuesday evening away to Monaghan Harps.

Reserves: The Scotstown B team defeated Monaghan Harps on Wednesday evening by 3-13 to 0-9. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Cian Mohan (0-1); David Caulfield, Ciaran Treanor, Matthew McCague; Paul Sherlock, Ross McKenna, Barry McMeel; Paul Grant (0-2), James Hamill (1-1); Emmet McCrudden (0-1), Tom Moyna, Shane Rice; Elliot Maguire (2-2), Mark McDevitt (0-2), Dermot McCrudden (0-4). Substitutes used: Adrian Carbin, Nessan McCrudden. The fixture against Maghercloone which was due to take place on Friday has been postponed, but it has no bearing on final positions as Scotstown and Clontibret are guaranteed the top two places in the table and a meeting in the League Final which is set for August 17th.

Juniors: The C team were in action on Wednesday evening in Smithborough against Éire Óg, followed by a trip to Aghabog on Sunday afternoon throwing in at 12:30pm. They round off a busy week with a home fixture against Killeevan on Wednesday, July 31st at 7:45pm.

Under 21: The Under-21 League Division 1 Final against Truagh has been set for Friday, July 26th in Emyvale, throwing in at 7:30pm.

Under 16: The Under 16’s had a good win at home to Seán MacDermott’s on Thursday on a 3-15 to 2-10 score line. Scotstown team and scorers: Fintan Sherlock; Rory McCarthy, Ben McDevitt, Alan McKenna; Jamie McKenna, Ruairi McKenna, Cillian Murphy (0-1); Oisin Sherlock, Shane McMahon (0-3); Caolan McKenna (0-2), Jamie McCarey (2-4), Adrian Grew (0-2); Lorcan Murray, James Corley (0-2), Leonard McDermott (0-1). Subs Used: James Sherry; Gary Cassidy; Jack Mohan (1-0); Conor Mohan; Eanna Deery. They are in action again this Thursday, July 25th at home to Saint Patrick’s at 7:30pm, followed by an away fixture at Monaghan Harps on Tuesday, July 30th at 7:30pm.

Under 14: The Under 14 Division One are at home to Magheracloone this Saturday, July 27th at 1:15pm. The Division Five team drew away at Monaghan Harps on Wednesday evening last, and face Emerald Sarsfields at home this Saturday at 12 noon.

Under 12: Emyvale conceded the Division 3B game last Saturday, and the Division 1A game against Monaghan Harps has been moved to this Thursday evening (July 25th) at 6:30pm in Scotstown.

Ned Run 2013: This year’s Ned Run takes place on Saturday, August 10th at 4pm. There will be music, food, entertainment and recreational football after the run, and The Indians will be performing live on stage. Training for runners & walkers continues at Kilmore every Monday evening at 7pm.

Boot Camp Fitness: Catering for all fitness levels, at Kilmore training grounds, Scotstown. Six week course commencing Monday, 29th July at 8pm – €30 per course, or €6 per class. Contact Micheal on 086-3271173 or 047-79789 for details.

Development Draw: Ticket sellers are out in force for our Development Draw, with a car and other valuable prizes on offer. Tickets are priced at €20 each or three for €50. They are also available on the Scotstown GAA website, with Paypal/Credit Card payments accepted.

Condolences: Sympathy is extended to the families and friends of the recently deceased, including Margery Moyna (nee Boylan), Dublin and formerly of Scotstown.

Ladies Club: Huge congratulations to the County Senior and Minor teams, who made history last Sunday in St. Tiernach’s Park. We look forward to seeing the Anglo-Celt Cup up in Scotstown in the months ahead.

Ladies Senior and Minor: Training every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30pm sharp.

Ladies U16: Well done to the Under 16 team who defeated Monaghan Harps in a recent challenge. Preparations are well under way for the upcoming Championship game, and training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm.

Ladies U14: Training every Monday and Thursday in Kilmore at 6.30pm.

Ladies U12: Matches every Monday night at 6.30pm – well done to the team and management on their recent wins.

Ladies U10 & U8: Training every Monday at 6.30pm in Kilmore.
