The jackpot was not won and the four winners of the Lucky Dip were Maurice Kindlon, Magheracloone, Matthew Boylan, c/o Boylans, Michael Tobin, c/o Jimmy Martin and Lou and Rita Metzger, Magheracloone. The next draw will take place in the clubrooms on Monday 5th August and the Jackpot will be 3,100 euro.

Pitch Development.  The work on the development of the new pitch continues. The field has now been levelled and is now ready from the next stage.

This will consist of the laying of the main drainage along with plastic drains at various intervals.

The club will continue to post photos and progress reports on the club website and/or the clubs facebook page so members far and near can keep up to date with progress.

Cul Camp. The annual Cul Camp was held in Magheracloone this week. Over seventy young people, both boys and girls, attended the camp during the week and the juvenile field was a hive of activity during the various sessions. The highlight of the week was the visit of the Ulster football trophies to the camp which hopefully will inspire the participants to reach the same standards in the future.

Best Wishes.  All in the club are looking forward to this weekend and to the two All-Ireland quarter finals. Best wishes are extended to all involved in these two games especially to our club players, Tommy Freeman, Gavin Doogan, Michael Metzger and Paul McArdle.

Congratulations also to the club members in the musical group, Drumlins, for their production of the song The White and Blue of Farney.

Fixtures. The only fixture to be confirmed for the coming week is the minor tie versus Truagh. The game is fixed for Truagh on Wednesday next, 7th August at 7.30.

Charity Cycle. Leo Marron has organised a 150 kilometre Charity Cycle which will be held on Sunday, September 14th. It is in aid of Magheracloone Care of the Aged and the GAA club’s pitch development.  Anyone interested in taking part or helping in any way is asked to contact Thomas McDermott at 0872251476 or Leo himself at0872846996.
