Annual 10k/6k Run:  This event was held in glorious summer sunshine on Friday evening last and over 150 athletes of all ages donned their shorts and running shoes.  Doohamlet and Monaghan Senior Player Colin Walshe got them all on their way and local triathlete Dessie Duffy was the first runner home with a time of 36.22.  Our first female runner home was Donna Evans with a time of 40.14.  Congratulations to everyone who completed both the 10k and 6k and this event goes from strength to strength.  Special thanks to all our sponsors, Raymond Watters (Old coach Inn),Stephan Drury( Centra Ballybay), Robbie McDonnell (Corner Shop) Ballybay, Harry Hughes (Spinning Wheel) Castleblayney, Gerry Quinn Butchers, Castleblayney, Alexis Connolly Doohamlet and Jim Kelly Oghill.

Many thanks also to all the stewards ,the girls who supplied refreshments Shane and Gavin and everyone who helped in any way.

Ulster Championship:  Well done to our County Senior and Minor footballers who both came through their respective semi-finals against Cavan last weekend.  We wish Colin and Barry all the best with their preparations over the coming weeks and wish both teams every success on Ulster Finals Day 21st July.

Fixtures:  With Monaghan now in Ulster Finals Senior fixtures are now on hold.

Blotto:  No Jackpot winner,  numbers drawn 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 7, 3.   Lucky dip winners Oisin & Jodie c/o Oisin O’Neill; Vinny Kelly c/o The Spinner; Matthew Hudson, Doohamlet; Marie Leonard, Tonyglasson; Enda Martin, Oghill.  Next weeks Jackpot €6,900.
