CREMARTIN CLUB NOTES 01.08.13

Shalotto

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in the Social Club on the 28^th July 2013.  Numbers Drawn were: 4-14-17-28.  Lucky Dip Winners: Enda Kerr, Annyalla, Noel Morgan, Tasson, Geraldine Boyd, Moneyvolan, Kate Flanagan, Cremartin and Sinead Carragher, Croghan.  The Jackpot stands at €7,000 and this weekend’s draw will take place in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

CREMARTIN GATHERING

We held our special Gathering last Saturday night in Cremartin.  Special Guests of Honour on the Night were the Anglo Celt Cup and the Fr. Murray Cup!!  Many thanks to all those who joined us in our Gathering and a big thank you to all those who provided us with all the Club memorabilia which was displayed on the night and brought back many special memories!  A big thank you to the ladies who provided the refreshments and all who helped out in any way on the night!!   We also held our first draw in the Cairde Cremartin and a big congratulations to Sean and Vourneen McBennett who won the Early Bird Prize of a 32” LCD TV.  There are many other draws coming up soon so join Cairde Cremartin now!

RESERVES

We were suffered a heavy defeat away to Truagh last Sunday afternoon meaning that we finish third place in the table and can no longer qualify for the Reserve Final.  Team and scores: Simon Atkinson, Ryan Carragher, Eanna Atkinson, Shane Mulligan, Liam Atkinson, Josh McWilliams, John Tomany, Darren Flanagan (0-1), Cathal Atkinson, Patrick McNally (0-3), Kevin Atkinson (0-2), Kevin McVicar, Ryan McVicar (0-1), Paul McNally and Brian McEneaney.

MINORS: CREMARTIN V CLONTIBRET

We welcomed our neighbours Clontibret to Cremartin on last Tuesday week.  Despite being down by 0.06 to 2.05 at halftime our boys showed great determination and team spirit and turned it around in the second half leading to an five point victory on a scoreline of Cremartin 3.11 Clontibret 2.09.  Well done boys!

U-12s

Our Under 12s played Fergal O’Hanlons last Sunday morning resulting in a win for Fergal O’Hanlons on a scoreline of Cremartin 0.09 Fergal O’Hanlons 2.05.  Team: Declan McNally, Ben Carville, Jason Carragher, Barry John Grimley, Aiden Goodman, Orlagh Grimley, Conor Brennan, Conor Carragher, Oisin Brannigan, Grainne Tibby, Jack Madden.  Subs: Aoife Flanagan, Dean Carragher, Dylan Kerr and James McVicar.  Two players who really impressed on the day were Orlagh Grimley and Grainne Tibby.

To the Monaghan County Senior Team and Management this Saturday as they take on Tyrone in Croke Park at 5.00 p.m.

Good luck also to the Monaghan Minor Team and Management who take on Tipperary this Bank Holiday Monday in Pearse Park in Longford at 3.00 p.m.

TICKETS FOR ALL IRELAND QUARTER FINAL

Tickets will be distributed this Thursday night in the Club from 9.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.  If there is any change we will let all Members who ordered tickets know.  All tickets MUST be paid for on collection.  No Exceptions!!

SUPPORTER’S BUS FOR CROKE PARK

Supporter’s Bus will be leaving Cremartin Club this Sat at 2.00 p.m. sharp for the for the Monaghan v Tyrone game and Cork v Dublin game. Contact Mickey McGuigan on 0868169275 for more details.
