The reserve team trailing 0-9 0-4 at half time put in a stirring second half comeback, led by Eamon Byrne and Dermot Daly but our forwards just couldn’t convert enough of their possession on the night and Monaghan held on for a narrow but deserved win.

“A day in the life!” They say pain has no memory, and it certainly all evaporated away in the Sun at St.Tiarnach’s Park last Sunday. Congrats to everybody past and present in the Monaghan GAA family who have struggled for decades so that this day would come.
