FMCT9614.jpgJunior B: Pride of place this week goes to our successful junior b team who won the Crawley cup last Saturday evening when they defeated near Neighbours Donaghmoyne on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-10. This was a magnificent performance from the team considering we were 6 points down after 15 minutes where we came back with a powerful masterful display from the team to go 1 point in front at half time on a scoreline of 0-07 to 0-06 with some fine scores from Mark Mc Ardle, Brendan Finnegan, James Keenan and the evergreen Mark Meegan( he even scored from his left foot which is indeed a rarity). Into the second half Donaghmoyne came out fighting and it took some great defending to keep them at bay and our forwards plugged away and after 15 minutes we held a slender 1 point lead 0-10 to 0-9 and we got a decisive score when wing back Pauric Bannigan latched on to a breaking ball to score a crucial  goal to give us a 4 point lead but back came the Fontenoys with a goal of their own to leave a 1 point game with 10 minutes remaining but that was as close they got to us and we held out for victory on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-10 to the delight of players, management and supporters ensuring our first adult silverware of the year. This was a great performance from Gary Mulligan in goals to the defenders of the 2 Sheridans( Keith & Alan), Niall Mooney, Paul Connolly, Pauric Bannigan, Colin Fox and Paul Mulligan. Thomas Hughes & Mark Meegan gave a powerful performance in midfield while upfront Colin Clerkin, Brendan Finnegan, Mark Mc Ardle, Patrick Sheridan, James Keenan ably assisted by substitutes Lee Conlan & Niall Keenan. Team v Donaghmoyne Gary Mulligan, Alan Sheridan, Keith Sheridan, Colin Fox, Pauric Bannigan(1-0), Paul Mulligan, Niall Mooney, Thomas Hughes(c), Mark Meegan(0-3), Patrick Sheridan, Mark Mc Ardle(0-4), James Keenan(0-1), Paul Connolly, Brendan Finnegan(0-1), Colin Clerkin(0-3) Subs Lee Conlan for Patrick Sheridan, Niall Keenan for James Keenan other subs Seamus Courtney, David Shevlin, Eoin Sheridan, Damien Duffy, Stephen Deery, Clayton Wilson and Declan Mc Geough Anyone wanting to Order a Dvd of the Junuior B Final contact Angie on 0861012243
