Youth Affairs
U-8’s:-
Our U 8 team were out on Saturday 22nd for their ‘Go games’ in Killevan. These young lads showed great skills and indeed took some great scores with Aaron Smith and Killian Kearns leading the way in that department. Sean Mc Quaid between the posts was almost unbeatable and Adam Markey and Ronan Mc Philips also played well in defence. Well done to all the lads and management.
U-10’s:-
Our U 10 team were out in Clones for their ‘Go games’ along with Clones, Aghabog and Tyholland. Our lads are strong at this level and they dominated all three games with Jack and Danny Mc Quaid controlling the games from the midfield and supplying our forward line of Kirsty mc Phillips, Megan Agnew, Megan Swift and Shannon Murphy who were all fantastic. In defence, Shane Duffy and Kevin Mc Phillips were very steady. Well done to all who took part.
U-12’s:-
Our U 12 team played their third game on Thursday 20th against Killanny. We came out the blocks very quickly going a goal and a point up straight away with James Mc Quaid getting both scores. We continued with a high intensity and were rewarded going in at half time with a five point lead. The second half started quite the opposite, with Killanny quickly on level terms, and now on the front foot they went ahead. Tiarnan Kearns, Jamie Mc Quillan and Hugh Mc Donald tried very hard but could not stop what was a very determined Killanny team who eventually ran out winners of a score line of 3-12 to 3-7.
U-14’s
On Saturday last we went down narrowly by the scoreline 1-15 to 1-11 to Inniskeen in the Division One game. The Division 5 game did not materialise due to Truagh conceeding. 22nd June. Training continues Monday at 5 – 6pm in Priests field.
U-16’s
Our U -16 team had a comfortable win on Thursday last against Rockcorry. The lads are going well in this league and are improving with every game. The next game is tonight Thursday 27th away to Castleblayney.
