Adult Teams: A disappointing week as our Reserve team lost out in the Semi Final of the Championship last Friday night to a strong Monaghan Harps team. This was followed by a heavy defeat to Killanny last Sunday in the Junior League. There is now a break in adult fixtures for a couple of weeks which will hopefully allow us to get the show back on the road. Next fixture: Away to Killeevan on Sunday 14th July at 2pm.

Juveniles:

U16: We had a good win over Rockcorry last Thursday evening to leave us in a strong position of securing a semi-final spot. We are away to Castleblayney tonight, Thursday, at 7:30pm.

U14: We lost out to a strong Drumhowan team last Saturday. This is a very tight division with the four top teams all level on points. Next fixture:  Away to Rockcorry on Sat 13th July at 12:00pm.

U12: Next fixture: At home to Doohamlet this Saturday, 29th June, at 12pm.

Good luck: To Shane Mulligan and the London team who take on Leitrim in the replay of the Connaught SFC Semi Final this weekend. It would certainly be a first to have an Aghabog man competing in a Connaught Final and we wish Shane all the best.

Better not forget to wish good luck to the Monaghan Minor and Senior teams also who tackle Cavan in the Ulster SFC Semi-Final this Saturday in Clones. A positive result is a must or Paddy Reilly will need to be avoided at all costs for the foreseeable future.

LADIES NOTES

Senior Championship:  All roads lead to Clontibret tomorrow evening (Friday) where our senior team take on O’Neills at 7.30 in the preliminary round of the championship. This is a repeat of last year’s fixture, where a tough encounter with this young team is expected.

U/12’s: Fixtures due out for the U/12 competition, training continues on Fri evening.

U/14’s:  Training on Monday night at 6.30 sharp.

U/16’s:  Training tonight at 7pm and Tuesday at 7pm.

Congrats:  to Ellen, Anita, Laura and the county team, who beat Donegal in the first round of the Ulster championship.

Wedding Bells: Best wishes to Julie and Kieran, who tie the knot this weekend in Kerry.

County Flag Day:  the annual county flag day occurs this weekend, please support.
