Seniors: The Senior team completed the first half of their League schedule last week with a win away at Ballybay, 3-9 to 0-6. The Scotstown team and scorers were: Rory Beggan (0-1); Damian McArdle, Fergal McPhillips, Pauric Keenan; William Carroll, Donal Morgan, Ciaran Treanor; Francis Caulfield, (1-0), David McCague; Emmet Caulfield, Brian McGinnity, Darren Hughes (1-3); Shane Carey (0-1), Kieran Hughes (1-4),Sean Mohan. Substitutes used: Nicholas Corrigan, Shane Rice, Conor Caulfield, Ross McKenna, Cian Mohan. There is a two week break until the next Senior game away to Clontibret on June 12th.

Reserves: The next RFL Division 1A game is away to Clontibret on Wednesday, June 5th at 8pm.

Juniors: The Junior Championship (Preliminary Round) game versus Oram scheduled for Sunday was moved to Wednesday evening (yesterday). The lads are in League action again away to the same opposition on Sunday, June 16th.

Minors: The county Minor team had a convincing victory over Antrim in Newry on Sunday evening in the Ulster Championship. Conor Forde and Conor McCarthy both started the game, with Micheal McCarville and Donnacha Dolan coming on in the second half. Monaghan will now face Cavan at the end of June. The next Minor club action will be in July.

Under 16: The next game is at home to Seán MacDermott’s on June 20th.

Under 14: They Division One team were away to Magheracloone on Tuesday evening. The Division Five team will be in action again on June 1st at home to Clones/Currin.

Under 12: The Under 12 Division 1A team drew at home with Castleblayney on Saturday, while the Division 3B team overcame an under strength Clones/Currin side with an excellent team performance.

Recreational: Our blistering start to the season continues with the visit of Éire Óg for the Eva Reilly Memorial Tournament at the Kilmore training pitches this Saturday the 1st of June, throwing in at 5pm. This is a charity event and a great way for the family to start off the bank holiday weekend. Refreshments & craic will be provided in McCagues afterwards. Funds raised will go to the Father Mathias Nsamba appeal, where they will help provide vital resources to his parish in South Africa.

Ciste: The monthly draw took place on Saturday night in the Complex, and the winners were: €700 – Brendan O’Neill, Telaydan; €300 – John Joe Sherlock, Tullyvogey; €100 – Caoimhe Mohan, Carrachor; €100 – Pauric Connolly, Drumhillock; €100 – Eugene Nudie Hughes, Castleblayney; €100 – Darina Sheehan, Bough; €100 – Sadie Smith, Ballinode; €100 – Joe McCarron, Monaghan. Seller’s prizes: €30 – Seán Murphy & €30 – Seamus McElwain. The next draw will be on Saturday, June 29th.

Congratulations: Well done to Donal Connolly and his assistants who took charge of the Donegal v Tyrone in the Ulster Minor Football Championship fixture in Ballybofey on Sunday last.

 

 

 

 

Development Draw: Ticket sellers are out in force for our Development Draw, with a car and other valuable prizes on offer. Tickets are priced at €20 each or three for €50. They are also available on the Scotstown GAA website, with Paypal/Credit Card payments accepted.

Ladies Senior and Minor: Training every Tuesday at 7.45pm and Friday at 7.30pm sharp. Please be on time. If you are unable to attend training, it is important to contact team management.

Seniors: The Senior girls had another good win against Doohamlet last Friday evening. At times the ball just didn’t seem to want to go over the bar, but once the girls starting scoring, they racked up an impressive 3-21. The final score was Scotstown 3-21 Doohamlet 2-6. The girls have a break now until the exams are over.

Ladies U16: Training every Monday and Thursday night in Kilmore at 6.30pm. Please bring registration form and money to team management ASAP. The girls played Emyvale last Thursday, and after some hard battling on the field they lost out to a stronger side. There will be a break in games now until the exams are over

Ladies U14: Training every Monday and Thursday in Kilmore at 6.30pm. Please bring registration form and money to team management ASAP. The girls have a bye this week and are out against O’Neill’s away on Monday, June 3rd at 7pm.

Ladies U12: Training continues every Tuesday at 6:15pm in Kilmore. Please return registration form and money to team management as soon as possible.  

Ladies Registration: Club registration is now overdue for 2013. Please give to team management or club registrar Martina Larmer. U18s – €35, over 18s – €50. If you are not registered you will be unable to train or play matches, registration is for one year, from May 2013 to May 2014.  

Good Luck: The Ladies club would like to wish all those sitting their Leaving Certificate and Junior Certificate exams over the next few weeks the best of luck in their studies.

Condolences: Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of the recently deceased including Pat Corr, Melbourne, Australia (formerly of Sheskin). Pat was a former Treasurer of the Knockatallon club before emigrating.
