Reserve Football League: Last Saturday we were defeated by Donaghmoyne at home

Corduff Ladies:

Juveniles:

Mixed fortunes for the juveniles last week. The U14s were away to Doohamlet and were beaten 3-18 to 0-4. The U16s were at home to Inniskeen and had a great win with a scoreline of 16-14 to 0-09. No juvenile matches this week. Congratulations to all the boys and girls in the area who made their Confirmation on Sunday.

Seniors:

On Sunday the seniors were at home to Truagh. Once again we were numerically disadvantaged as we could only field 11 players as opposed to Truagh’s 15. Along with that there was a stiff breeze so the 11 players had to really up their performances. As we had no midfield the backs were Ciara McEnaney, Hannah Finegan, Amanda Cooney, Laura Sheridan and Colleen Callan with Amy Treanor in goals. The forwards were Laura McEnaney, Sarah McEnaney, Sarah Burns, Eva Woods and Niamh Callan. Colleen and Laura May covered a lot of ground both sides of midfield. This high workrate was paying off as Corduff trailed by just a goal at half time. However as the 2nd half progressed the margin widened. It was difficult for the girls to keep up the workrate but they tried their very best.

Good luck and best wishes to all the boys and girls from the Corduff / Raferagh area who are sitting Junior Cert or Leaving Cert next week.
