Latton stayed at the top of the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division 1A when they hit three goals to edge out Scotstown on Wednesday, while Clontibret had a convincing win over Magheracloone and Castleblayney got off the mark at the expense of Monaghan Harps. Truagh have three wins from three in Division 1B after they saw off Tyholland, while Cremartin beat neighbours Doohamlet to move into second place. The other four teams are all on two points after Ballybay won their local derby against Drumhowan.

Donaghmoyne continue to set the pace in Division 2A after they eased past local rivals Inniskeen, while Emyvale also remain unbeaten following their defeat of Killeevan. There was also a game on Thursday when Corduff won to keep their south-Monaghan neighbours rooted to the bottom of the group.Aughnamullen are on top of Division 2B after their easy win against Oram, followed by Seán McDermotts, who cruised past Rockcorry.

Aghabog came out on top of a high-scoring Division 3 game against Clones, while Currin and Blackhill had comfortable wins over Éire Óg and Feargal O’Hanlons and Toome conceded to Killanny.

Silver Hill Foods

The Silver Hill Foods Development Hurling League got underway on Thursday. Defending champions Castleblayney were beaten by Clontibret, while Inniskeen eased to victory against Carrickmacross and a strong first half set Monaghan Harps up for a win over Truagh.

Truagh Harps began the Silver Hill Minor Hurling League with a good win over Castleblayney on Monday.

The GRM Minor Football League first round took place on Tuesday, when Monaghan Harps, Truagh and Carrickmacross had comprehensive wins over Magheracloone, Scotstown and Emyvale respectively in Division One. Cúchulains Sarsfields, Donaghmoyne and St. Patrick’s got the better of Latton, Killanny and Cremartin in Division Two, while Clontibret and Seán McDermotts played out a high-scoring draw. There was en even higer-scoring stalemate in Division Three between Castleblayney and Doohamlet, where the other games saw Inniskeen and St. Tiarnach’s defeat Emerald Sarsfields and Corduff. Killeevan got a walkover from Rock Emmets.
