Seniors:

Our Seniors took on Currin away from home on Wednesday evening in the next round of the Intermediate Football League. See the official results and notes for the result.

U21s:

The U21 panel have played two matches in the last week. On Friday evening last they travelled to Iniskeen were they faced Magheracloone. The side, who were missing a number of key players, gave a good account of themselves but were unlucky and therefore beaten on a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-10. The following Sunday they made the short trip to Aughnamullen. At near full strength on the day they played very well and ran out winners on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-5. See fixtures and notes for upcoming matches.

Minors:

Minors made the trip to Cremartin on Tuesday evening for their fourth game in the league. See next weeks results and notes.

U16s:

The U16 panel travels to Ballybay this Thursday evening to take on the St. Pats in the league. The lads look to maintain their 100% winning start to the year but know it will be tough against a strong Pats side. Throw in is at 7pm in Ballybay. Players to be in Donaghmoyne at 5.45 for the bus. Get out and support this talented group of lads.

U14s:

U14s continue training Friday evening at 6pm. Need to see everyone there as there is a game next week.

U12s:

Both U12 teams, the 11 a side and 9 a side teams had their final matches in the Spring league competition on Saturday morning as both teams faced Carrick. It was mixed fortunes for both teams as the 9 a side panel comprehensively won their game but it wasn’t so good for the 11 a side team as they suffered a defeat. Training continues for both sides on Saturday morning from 11-12.

U10s:

Our U10 community games side played their next match in the competition last Saturday morning where they ran out comprehensive winners against Inniskeen.

Mini Fontenoys:

The minis training continues Saturday at 11 in Donaghmoyne. All new children from the ages of u6s up to u10s are welcome. Every child must have a gumbshield otherwise they cannot participate. Cost is €2 per family. Also any parents willing to get involved in coaching are more than welcome.

Recently Deceased:

The club would like to extend its sympathies to the Connor family of Laragh on the death of Francis Connor and also to the O Farrell family of Creevy on the recent death of Kevin O Farrell.

Congratulations:

We would like to give our two club players and coach Mikey Murnaghan, Ciaran Martin, Noel Marron and also the rest of the Monaghan County Minor team a massive congratulations after their win in the Ulster Minor League Final last Saturday against Donegal. On the same day the Monaghan Seniors travelled to Croke Park for the National League Final against Meath, and we are proud to congratulate them too on their win, but more importantly to our very own Padraig Donaghy who came on, on the day to have a big impact on the game.  This is a great achievement for them all and is something their club and county are very proud of.
