Corduff Ladies:

Juveniles:

The U14s & U16s began their league campaigns last week. The U14s were at home to Killeevan last Monday with a score of Killeevan 2-13 Corduff 1-03.

Tonight they were away to Aghabog where they came away comfortable winners on a score line of Corduff 5-11 Aghabog 1-7. From the throw-in this game was played at a brisk pace with every Corduff player putting in a very spirited performance. Manager Declan Callan on the sideline guided the girls through the match. From the goalkeeper to the full forwards every girl deserves a mention. Amy Marron in goals saved some great goal attempts, Keely Culleton pulled off some great blocks while Naoiose Cunningham, Saidhbh Cassidy and Chloe Finegan scooped up almost everything in sight. The midfield pairing of Dearbhla Callan and Elena McEnaney were a force to be reckoned with. The forwards Rebecca Carragher, Ellie Comiskey, Annie Brennan and Ciara Farrelly were always a threat with scores coming from all angles. Top scorer was Becky Carragher with 2 -7 closely followed by Ellie Comiskey,Annie Brennan and Elena Mc Enaney. This was a super match so best wishes against Eire Og next week. Don’t forget training is at 5pm sharp this Friday.

The U16s were at home to Killanny last Friday with a score of 3-12 to Killanny 4-3. This was an excellent result for Corduff as they fielded with 10 players and therefore had to dig deep to pull off a result like that.

Congratulations and Best Wishes

To twins Emma & Louise Byrne who have been awarded a 3 month placement in Shanghai for the summer. While this is a fantastic achievement for the girls they will be missed on the Corduff pitch during the summer for their commitment and dedication. Once again good luck girls, have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you both back in the black and amber later in the season!
