Flag Day

An important meeting will take place in the clubrooms this evening, Thursday at 9.30pm to organise the flag day this weekend in Monaghan. Everyone is asked to attend this evening to arrange this very important fundraiser for our club’s juveniles. It is intended to get a full turn out over the weekend with each volunteer taking only a one and a half hour slot.

If for some reason you can’t attend the meeting this evening but are willing to give an hour and a half to help out at the Flag Day on either Friday or Saturday please contact Fergal Mone or Caroline McQuaid on 0878368900.

Senior League

We played Latton yesterday evening, result next week.

We have an away match against the Harps on Monday at 6pm. We have a bit of a break following that with the next match scheduled for Sunday, 19th May away to Magheracloone at 2pm.

Reserve League Division 1

Clontibret 0-10, Harps 2-5. An understrength team battled bravely against the Harps and should have at least earned a draw after a poor start. Team and scorers: Declan Savage, Gareth Brennan, Kevin Ward, Christopher Tedore, Pauric Boyle, Brian Greenan, Rodney Gorman 0-1, Eoin Greenan, Kieran Greenan, Johnny McKenna 0-2, David Savage, Ryan McGuigan 0-2, Ronan Murphy 0-2, Lorcan Murphy 0-2, Niall Duffy 0-1. Subs: Paul Winters.

Our next game in this league is scheduled for Sunday, 26th May away to ‘Blayney at 4pm.

Reserve Division 3 Championship

Our championship gets underway with a home match against Killanny tomorrow evening, Friday at 7.15pm. Get out and support the boys in our first championship outing of the year.

U21

The match against Truagh fixed for last week didn’t take place due to the involvement of a sizeable number of our players with county minor teams, both football and hurling, both at the weekend. Next match is against Scotstown and is fixed for 17th May.

Minor

We played St. Patrick’s on Tuesday, result next week.

We play Aughnamullen next Tuesday, 7th May at 7.30pm.

U16

We take on Seans in Clontibret this evening, Thursday, 7pm.

We have a home game against Donaghmoyne next Thursday at 7pm.

U14

We take on Seans at home this Saturday at 12pm. Following this our next outing is on Saturday, 18th May away to Corduff at 12pm.

U12

Clontibret 0-10, Oram 0-13. We lost out narrowly to Oram last week despite playing well.  We followed this up with a victory against an understrength Doohamlet team on Saturday.  We have qualified for the Spring League final which has been pencilled in for Saturday, 11th May. This is to be confirmed.

Training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm.

U10

Training on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm.

U8

Well done to the two teams of u8s who played brilliantly on Saturday in the Go Games on Saturday.

Nursery & Girls

Training continues for nursery, u8 boys and u8 and u10 girls tomorrow evening, Friday from 6pm-7pm at the field.

Hurling

Senior Hurling: Last Thursday night our weakened senior team were beaten by a stronger Blayney outfit. We play Monaghan Harps (away) in the development league tonight (Thurs) at 7.30pm.

Minor hurling: Our minors play Blayney (away) Sun 5th at 12pm. Unlucky to our county minors who lost out to Donegal in the shield final last Friday night.
