On Thursday 23rd April, Monaghan Coaching Staff held a Football blitz for 1^st and 2^nd year students. 8 secondary schools were represented on the day, St. Macartans College, Our Ladys, Castleblayney College, Ballybay Community College, Largy College, Beech Hill, Colaiste Oiriall and St. Patricks, Armagh. Overall 18 teams took part with 205 students playing. Each team consisted of 7 players a-side with at least 3 subs. The teams were split into two groups, 1^st years in one  group and 2^nd years in the other group. Each team played 3 games of 12 minutes a half, totalling 24 minutes per game. All teams had a very enjoyable day’s football.
