On Thursday 14^th March, Monaghan Coaching Staff held a Football blitz for 1^st and 2^nd year students.  8 secondary schools were represented on the day, St. Macartans College, Patrician High School, Inver College, Castleblayney College, Ballybay Community College, Largy College and Colaiste Oiriall.  Overall 17 teams took part with 175 students playing.  Each team consisted of 7 players a-side with at least 3 subs.  The teams were split into two groups, 1^st years in 1 group and 2^nd years in the other group.  Each team played 3 games of 12 minutes a half, totalling 24 minutes per game.  All teams had a very enjoyable day’s football.
