A Special Weekend

100 Years Young:  All Doohamlet folk can be excused for having that feeling of pride and joy as we celebrated a special weekend gone past.

A lovely lady and bright as a button Molly Loughman celebrated her 100^th birthday last weekend. Molly has been a lifelong Doohamlet supporter and on Saturday last she celebrated as only she can with her much loved family and friends. Congratulations Molly we hope you have many more happy years

Sigerson Cup Victory: Also on Saturday last Doohamlet GFC were proud as punch as we witnessed Colin Walshe captain DIT to a first ever Sigerson Cup Victory and complete a memorable double for his College having won the Ryan Cup (Senior Division 1) before Christmas. This is a remarkable honour for Colin to lead his team to a prestigious double and he can be very proud of his efforts.

A magnificent weekend and on behalf of the Doohamlet club we wish both many congratulations.

Seniors:  Our Seniors had their first outing of the season with a challenge match against Keady on Sunday morning last.  This proved to be a very useful workout and good to see a number of the younger players perform well.

Reserves: Our reserves have their first game on Sunday next when we travel to Tyholland to play the locals. Throw In at 2pm

Juvenile Table Quiz:  Thanks to everyone who attended our Juvenile Table Quiz on Sunday last.  Our quizmaster Stephen Duffy and everyone who donated spot prizes   We thank you all.
