Ulster U21 Club Championship Quarter Final.

Emerald Sarsfields (Monaghan) 2-11 St. John’s (Antrim) 0-5

Emerald Sarsfields (Blackhill/Oram) overcame a hard-working St. John’s Belfast side in the quarter final of the Ulster U-21 Champions Tournament in Creggan. After an even first quarter the team got on top playing some tremendous football in difficult conditions. First half goals from Phillip Donnelly and Pauric Graham helped us to a seven point lead at the break, and three early second half points from Dan McMahon, Ciarán Courtney and Daniel Forde effectively ended the game as a contest though St. John’s battled manfully to the end. It was a day where every player could be proud of his performance. Captain Phillip Donnelly was presented with the man of the match award after the game.
