Sympathy

Sincere Sympathy is extended to the Mc Cabe and Mc Gorman families on the sudden and tragic death of Michelle, also to Agnes Hughes and family on the death of her Father Peter Reilly Bailiborough. May they rest in peace.

Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Executive Committee will take place tonight (Thursday) at 9 0’clock.

Club membership

Membership for the year is now due, all players juvenile & adult will have to be paid up members to be covered by the GAA insurance.  Membership can be paid to Mickey Duffy or any committee member, €20 per adult and €10 for u16.

Juvenile football

The firstjuvenile committee meeting of the year took place on the 24^th January. Lucia Smith from Colm Smiths dentist practice Cootehill give a presentation on the now compulsory mouthguards explaining about the various types on the market and the price range. Details will be passed on to parents in the coming weeks. Next juvenile meeting will take place on Feb 25^th.

Mouthguards

From January 1^st 2013 it will be mandatory for all players up to and including minor to use a mouthguard for training sessions and all matches.

Awards night

Our annual awards night will now be held on February 16^th, this is always a great night with good food and lively entertainment. Presentations to include player of the year, and the hall of fame along with many other presentations on the night. Music by sounds familiar, tickets €20 from any committee member, doors open 8pm with wine reception food served 8-30. So put the date in the dairy.

Coaching course

Foundation and level 1 coaching courses will be held in the coming weeksanyone interested in attending these very worthwhile courses can contact Martin Duffy on 086 8785530 for more information.

Referee Availability

Anyone wishing to be a club referee at juvenile level contact the secretary on 086-3121299.

Safe talk

Carrickmacross Lions club are organising a suicide awareness course on Thursday 7^th February in the Shirley Arms Hotel. All cost covered by the Lions club. To book call 087-0560393.

Players meeting.

All senior players are requested to attend a very important meeting in the club rooms on Sat 2^nd Feb at 6pm sharp. Please note club membership of €20 for 2013 is now due and must be paid on the night.

St. Macartans collage

In 2013 St, Macartans are celebrating 100 years of Gaelic games in the collage, to mark this milestone the collage in inviting all past pupils to a special centenary gala ball on Saturday 16^th of February in the Hillgrove Hotel. For details contact the school office @ 047-81642.
