Club Championship draws 2013

January 22nd, 2013

The 2013 Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football Championship draws were made at Monday’s county board meeting.

Ballybay will start their SFC defence from the preliminary round against newly-promoted Rockcorry, with the winners set to play either Carrickmacross or Latton. In the first round, Clontibret and Castleblayney renew their rivalry, while Magheracloone take on Scotstown and 2012 IFC winners Doohamlet face Monaghan Harps.

The IFC preliminary round has thrown up a pair of interesting ties, with Corduff up against Tyholland and Truagh drawn with Donaghmoyne. The first round games are: Clones v Inniskeen, Aughnamullen v Cremartin and Currin v Drumhowan.

New JFC additions, Scotstown’s third team, have been placed in the preliminary round against Oram, with the winners up against Killeevan or Blackhill. Whoever comes through the other preliminary match between Seán McDermotts and Toome will play Killanny, while the remainder of the first-round draw is Aghabog v Éire Óg and Emyvale v Fergal O’Hanlons.
