Thanks to all involved in the Lotto for their ongoing efforts on behalf of the club.

Club info night: There will be a club information night in the clubhouse this Friday from 8pm, where the new senior management will outline some of their plans for 2013. ALL club members and supporters are invited to attend.

Team management: Anyone interested in managing one of the club’s juvenile teams in 2013 is asked to forward their names to the football development committee. Expressions of interest regarding underage teams should be sent to Ciarán Mulligan (086 8411275) as soon as possible.

Scór: Well done to our representatives at the Scór na nÓg finals in Ardaghey last Friday. Congratulations in particular to Tara Gilsenan, who won the solo singing competition and will go on to the regional Ulster section in the next few weeks. All our competitors once again did the club proud and were unfortunate not to qualify in a couple of other sections. Well done to everyone involved. Our performers were: Emma and Carla Clerkin, Dervla Fowler, Helen McKenna and Niall McManus & Sadbh McCabe, Caoimhe Gallagher, Tara Gilsenan, Tara Reilly and Conan Fowler (instrumental); Maria Ferguson and Tara Gilsenan (solo singing); Brianan Buckley, Helen McKenna and Aisling and Maria Ferguson (ballad group).

Table Quiz: We are hosting a fundraising table quiz on Friday week, December 7. We are currently seeking sponsorship, so anyone who would like to contribute or help out in any way should contact John Hahessy at 086 1251615. All help would be appreciated. There will be a short meeting in the clubhouse on Friday at 7pm.

Upcoming events: As well as our table quiz on December 7, we will be hosting our own club Christmas party on Sunday, December 23, which promises to be a great night, so please try to keep the date free. A week later, on December, our annual charity match will take place (sponsorship forms will be available in the next week from Owen Connell or from the clubhouse). Keep an eye on the club notes and website for more details. The clubhouse is also available to book for Christmas parties and other functions by contacting bar manager Liadhan Treanor at 086 7837204.

Coaching Courses: Anyone interested in attending a foundation-level coaching course this Friday and Saturday should contact juvenile secretary Val Forde at 087 9515175.

Sympathy: The club sends condolences to Hugh Coyle and family on the death of Annie McGinn, Newbliss.

Hurling: It has been a busy time for the juvenile hurlers, with two blitzes taking place in Cloghan on the last two Monday nights. Well done to the Under-13s, who reached the final on November 26, where they were unlucky to lose an exciting game against Inniskeen by the narrowest of margins. Each and every player represented the club excellently. That came a week after the Under-15 hurlers won their 9-a-side blitz on November 19. The lads went through their games unbeaten, before getting the better of Castleblayney in the final. A strong team performance in an entertaining match saw the Harps finish winners with four points to spare. The Harps panel was: Nathan O’Donoghue, Niall Ward, Aidan Burns, Paul Peppard, Ruairí Forde, Reece Treanor, Conor Flynn, Cathal Power, Ben Kearns-Flynn, Ryan Connolly, Dylan McAree, Anthony Greenan, Conor Duffy and Ciarán Cassidy.

Good luck: To the St. Macartan’s College MacRory Cup and Corn na nÓg teams who both have big games coming up. The Corn na nÓg team are through to the semi-finals, while the MacRory team have a play-off against Armagh in Emyvale on Friday.

Congratulations: To the multi-talented Ramunas Ramanauskas on his selection for the Ireland Under-16 basketball team.
