B Team: The B team finish their season with the Reserve League Division One Final on Sunday. They will play Castleblayney. The venue is St. Mellan’s Park, Truagh with a 3:15pm throw-in.

Congratulations: Well done to Urbleshanney National School who beat Scoil Rois, Carrickmacross in the Division Two Final last Saturday. Also to club referee Gerry McCarron on a job well done in the Senior County Final last week.

Kilmore Development: The club committee is currently working on plans for further development of the club training grounds at Kilmore East. Preparations are being made for a major fundraising venture in the near future. Anyone interested in getting involved should contact any committee member.

JFL Final Replay: Thanks to all the club members who helped out on Sunday last at the Junior Football League Final between Aghabog and Clones. The replay has been fixed for Páirc Mhuire, Scotstown this Sunday at 1:45pm, and again Club members are asked to help out on the day.

Coaching Courses: There are a number of upcoming coaching courses being organised by Monaghan GAA. Venues are to be confirmed, but the dates are: Foundation – 30th November & 1st December. Level One Children – 2nd, 3rd & 10th November. Level One Youth/Adult – 16th, 17th, 23rd & 24th November. Ciste: The monthly Ciste draw takes place this Saturday night in the Complex.

Ciorcal Gaeilge: Conversational Irish continues at the Complex each Tuesday at 8:30pm. Beidh fáilte roimh gach éinne.

Dublin City Marathon: Damien “Blondie” McKenna and Keith McGonnell have taken on the challenge of completing the Dublin City Marathon next Monday in aid of the Shauna McPhillips Rett Syndrome Fund. Sponsorship cards are available in local shops – please give generously for this worthy cause. Best of luck lads!

Keep Free: On Saturday, November 10th the play “For Club and County”, written and directed by former Leitrim footballer Seamus O’Rourke will be performed in the Complex at Scotstown. Tickets are €10 and will be available from any committee member or at the door on the night.

Ladies Minors: Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday in Kilmore at 7pm. Please make an effort to attend over the next few weeks as competition comes to a close.

Christmas Fair: Scotstown Ladies Football Club are holding a Christmas Fair on Sunday, November 25th in the Complex. There will be a variety of craft stands on display to help with your Christmas shopping. If anyone is interested in having a stand to sell their products at the Fair please contact Edel on 087-6133739 or any committee member.

Sympathy: The Ladies Club would like to extend sympathy to the McKenna family, Knockacullion on the sudden death of Mac McKenna – may he rest in peace.

World Handball: The World Handball Championships have come and gone. This was a brilliant tournament and well done to the four Tydavnet handballers who took part. Mickey Eoin and Paul almost caused a sensation by reaching the semi-final of the silver master’s doubles competition only to be beaten 7 and 9. Conor Leonard and James Morrow also played very well in the doubles and the one wall competition.

Important Handball Meeting: There will be an important open handball meeting this Monday night at 8pm for all adults, male and female interested in playing or returning to play handball. Handball is one of the top sports for fitness, and is also one of the most enjoyable indoor sports to play either competitively or just for fun. The meeting is in the alley at the complex and everyone is welcome.
