Doohamlet won the McGuigan Builders Intermediate Football Championship Final by the narrowest of margins against Tyholland on Sunday.

Magheracloone battled their way to a narrow win over Donaghmoyne in the Maguire Transport Minor Football Championship Division Two Final before the IFC Final at Clontibret on Sunday.

Scotstown’s third string completed a league and championship double when they won the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division Three Final against Emyvale by 0-12 to 0-8, with Adrian Carbin contributing seven points.

There was no luck for either of Monaghan’s representatives in Ulster club hurling championship action on Sunday. Castleblayney lost out to Antrim intermediate champions St. Brigid’s, Cloughmills in the Ulster IHC first round at Casement Park, while Clontibret were beaten by Derry city side Na Magha in the Ulster JHC opening round at Maghera.
