Good luck to the Annalitten connected Kilkenny Cat, goalkeeper David Herity, who lines out against Galway in Croke Park in next Sunday’s All Ireland Hurling Final replay. David’s mother is Bernadette McBride, daughter of Mary and the late John McBride, Analitten. The shot stopper, who plays his hurling with Kilmoganny, had a powernful match in the brilliant drawn game and was in inspirational form for the Kilkenny men all year. He joined the senior ranks in 2009 and became the first choice goalkeeper last year, when he replaced P.J. Ryan. He is a nephew of Seamus McBride, Ardreena, Broomfield, and the former Toome stalwart.

Congratulations to Declan and Mairead Lambe on the recent birth of their baby girl.
