Football After Schools Programme
The Monaghan GAA Coaching staff and committee are organising a Football After School Programme for 6th class boys. after the success of last year’s football programme was very successful. This initiative will enable 6th class boys to avail of additional football coaching during the closed season from October to March. Presently 6th class boys finish their school / club football in October and don’t commence again till March / April.
The county will be divided into 4 regions. Each region will have a combination of large and smaller schools. The best facility in each region that is available will be utilised for these coaching sessions. Each region will receive a 6 week coaching block and it is hoped to commence the programme on November 6 run it through to December. Monaghan Coaching and Games staff will lead the coaching programme.
This is being run by Monaghan GAA Coaching and Games Development Committee, led by Coaching Officer Martin Corey.
