Championship Final- Please come out and show your support to the Drumhowan team who play Emyvale in the Junior Championship Final this Sunday 30th at 2pm in Scotstown.
Junior Bs- Drumhowan overcame a strong Ballybay side after extra time in the semi-final of the League on Saturday evening. Ballybay led most of the game but a determined Drumhowan side finished up worthy winners in the end on a score of Drumhowan 0-20, Ballybay 2-10.
Under 14s- Training continues as per normal for this team. They await the winners of the other semi-final which takes place this Saturday between Fergal O Hanlons and Aghabog. The final is provisionally booked for Saturday October 6th.
Under 10 Go Games – Our under 10 side were in action on the hallowed turf of St Tiernachs Park last Saturday. They had a series of games against Clontibret , Tyholland and Aghabog. The team performed very well on the day and have shown considerable improvement as the season has progressed. Panel was Aodhan Brennan, Gerard Quinn, Shay Traynor, Niall Grogan, Conor Finnegan, Sinead Duffy, Ruadhann Curran, James Mc Adam, Caolan Reilly, Ciaran Keenan, Killian Mc Adam. We will also be playing in two tournaments organised by the Clontibret and Cootehill clubs on Saturday 6th and Saturday 13th October. This will be for both Under 8 & 10 squads.
Junior Final – At half time this Sunday in Scotstown we play Emyvale in both under 8 and under 10s. This is a great chance for our youngsters to play on a big stage in front of a large crowd. All players to be in Scotstown for 2pm.
Well Done- Well done to the St. Bridgids U12 team who won the div.4 final on Saturday last.
Under-Age Coaching- The under-age coaching for our under 6s, under-8s, under-10s continues on Monday evenings in Mc Keown Park at 7pm. The Monday night sessions will finish on next Monday October 1st. If the weather is poor the younger ones will be in the hall so bring runners.
Coaching Workshops– Strength & Conditioning & Running Programme (for 12 to 18 year olds) for clubs & discussion on Development Squads – Tuesday 2nd October & 7:30pm in Cloghan.
Children’s Club Coaching – Wednesday 10th October @ 7:30pm in Cloghan. The aim of this session is to help coaches plan programmes for children for U5s involving the innovative Gaelic Start programme, U8s the Fundamentals and the Learn To Train phase i.e. U10s and U12s. The session will be an information session on what to coach children at these various age groups.
