Senior Championship

The senior championship final will take place on Sunday, 14th at 4pm.

 

Senior League

We play the Harps at home on Saturday at 5pm. On Saturday, 6th October we are away to Currin at 4.30pm.

 

Reserve League

We are due to play the winners of Latton v Harps on Tuesday next, 2nd October at 8pm in Cloghan.

 

U14 Division 6:

Clontibret 6-11, Clones 5-7. We have qualified for the Shield final this Saturday against Rockcorry in Latton at 11.30am. Good luck boys.

 

U11 Tournament

There will be an u11 tournament in Emyvale this Saturday at 10am in Emyvale. Meet at the Community Centre at 9.15am.

 

U10

Well done to all who took part in the final Go Games of the year on Clones last Saturday. The tournament for this team will now take place on Saturday, 6th October in Clontibret. This will be a four-team tournament and will finish off the year’s football for this group.

 

Under 8s

Training for the u8s will finish up shortly but will go ahead as normal tomorrow evening, Friday at 6.30pm.

 

U6 & Nursery

The u6 & nursery players finished their year’s football with a final training session and party last Saturday. Certificates were presented at the end of it. Well done to all the boys and girls for their great work throughout the year. Thanks to John Paul and his many helpers, including Trevor Boylan, Irene Clarke, Fintan Brennan, Shane Brady, Helen McSkeane, Charlie Burn and a number of our senior players, for their dedication to these young future stars.

 

Breakfast Morning

Keep free the morning of the county final, Sunday, 14th October for a Breakfast Morning which will take place in the Community Centre. More details to follow next week.

 

Coaching Courses

A number of coaching courses are being run over the next number of weeks as follows:

*A Strength & Conditioning & Running Programme (for 12 to 18 year olds) for clubs & discussion on Development Squads – Tuesday 2nd October & 7:30pm in Cloghan.

*Children’s Club Coaching – Wednesday 10th October @ 7:30pm in Cloghan.   The aim of this session is to help coaches plan programmes for children for u5s involving the innovative Gaelic Start programme, U.8’s the FUNdamentals and the Learn To Train phase i.e. U. 10’s and U.12’s.  The session will be an information session on what to coach children at these various age groups.

Recreation Team

Clontibret recreational team won their first silverware in the Monahan Harps tournament on Saturday last. Former hurling great Sean Hahessey made his debut in goals and took off some fine saves. Others to shine on the day were Barry Gorman, Gene Gorman and David Ward. Thanks to Monaghan Harps for a very well run and enjoyable tournament.

 

Hurling Replay Tickets

Anyone interested in being considered for the hurling All Ireland Final Replay tickets should report to the club this evening, Thursday at 9.30pm for the draw.
