The first secondary school blitz of 2012/2013 took place on Wednesday 12^th September in Cloghan. This blitz involved 1^st year’s boys only.

Overall 6 of the 9 secondary schools took part; St Macartans, Patrician High School, Our Lady’s, Inver College, Colaiste Oiriall and Castleblayney College. There was 10 teams that took part, with 120 students playing.

This was a 7 aside blitz with all teams playing 3 games each. The games consisted of various different rules that we feel will improve the development of these players. Some of the rules were; 2 points were awarded for a point scored with the weak hand or foot,  also 3 points were awarded for a point scored  outside 25m zone.
