Our hopes of winning back to back championships are still alive after a hard fought but deserved win over Monaghan Harps in Inniskeen last Sat evening. Playing with 14 men for most of the game after D O, Brien got a straight red just 6 min into the game, Latton work hard in the first half to hold Monaghan to just 1-3 to their 5pts. The Latton players put in a great second half performance with H, Mc Elory and B O, Brien kicking some great scores to help us to a 3pt win. Latton 0-11 Monaghan 1-5. Full match report in sports section. We will play Currin in Aughnamullen this Sunday at 1-45 in the next round of the championship.

Juvenile fun day

On Sunday 9th September we will hold a juvenile fund raiser and fun day, at 4 o’ clock there will be a treasure hunt followed by a table quiz. The quiz will be an observation quiz with questions asked about points off interest and land marks along the treasure hunt route.  Questions will suite young and old alike teams to consist of family members. There will be entertainment for the smaller kids followed by a disco. Finger food will be served, cost per table €25. This should be a great evening’s fun and an ideal opportunity to come out and support the younger members of our club.
