Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 30^th August:

Breakfast with the senior team: The senior lads produced a fine display of cooking and service last Saturday morning to make the Big Breakfast fantastic success, Full credit to all who helped and provided ingredients and most of all, thanks to all those who supported the project.

Reserve Division 3 Semi Final: Emyvale B Team played Aughnamullen in the semi-final of the Reserve 3 League in Tully on last Thursday evening. It was an exciting match with Emyvale coming from behind at the end of normal time to level scores to force the game into extra time. Aughnamullen started the better registering two points before Cillian Mc Carron was given a well placed pass and he blasted over the bar to open Emyvale’s account. Emyvale were well in control at this stage and scored five more unanswered points before the visitors scored a goal to bring them back into contention and they went in at half time a point ahead. The second half was nip and tuck and going into injury time Emyvale trailed by one point but they were given a lifeline when there was a mix up in the Augnamullen defence and the ball was fouled on the ground and Gavin Mc Kernan converted the free to force extra time. In the first period Aughanmullen went two up and with time running out in the second period, Darren Mc Kernan converted a long range free and Brendan Askin kicked over a lovely point to level scores. The final whistle was blown with the side’s level.

JFL: Clones V Emyvale our senior lads played Clones away from home last Sunday morning. Unfortunately we didn’t get the win. Final Score: Clones 2-11 Emyvale 2-07.
