Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 23rd August:
Bingo: Our Bingo Jackpot was won last week. Congratulations to Lisa Sheridan from Rockcorry who won €5,600. The Jackpot has now been reset at €5,000 from this week.
Breakfast with the senior team: This Saturday the 25th of August Emyvale GAA are hosting a Big Breakfast Morning organised by players from the men’s senior team in support of the Emyvale Senior Team Training Fund. The idea is very simple: Breakfast will be served from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon in the lounge of the Scarna Inn by members of the Emyvale Senior Team. The lads will don their Chef Hats and will be the people serving you your breakfast so it is an event not to be missed! Tickets are €7 and will be available from any Emyvale Senior Player or alternatively you can pay at the door. This entitles you to a Full Irish Breakfast served with Tea/Coffee and Orange Juice. So we urge as many people as possible to come out and show your support for the team and at the same time enjoy a nice breakfast in the Scarna Inn cooked and served to perfection by all the lads!
JFL: Emyvale v Eire Óg: Our senior lads played Eire Óg last Wednesday night in what was a dry run off the upcoming championship semi final. The Final Score was Emyvale 0-10 Eire Óg 0-06.
JFL: Oram v Emyvale: We played are second game of last week on Sunday afternoon away to Oram. Final Score Oram 2-04 Emyvale 2-10
Fleadh 2012: Congratulations to Peadar Sherry who was winner of the Men English Singing and to Lauren Murphy who is now the All-Ireland Champion at playing Slow Airs on the harp.
Engagements: Congratulations to both Robbie Mc Hugh and his Girlfriend Christina who got engaged last week on their travels, Also many congratulations to Mark Colton and his girlfriend Beti who got engaged in Australia at the weekend.
Welcome Home: A big welcome home to Brendan O Brien who returned from his travels last weekend.
Help Needed: Emyvale host intermediate championship match this coming Friday night between Donaghmoyne and Rockcorry with throw in at 8.00pm. If possible please come out and help with stewarding. Met at the field for 7pm.
