Result:

JFC: Aghabog 2-11 Killanny 0-15. We live to fight another day in the championship after this hard fought win over Killanny in Oram on Sunday last. We will now meet Clones in the next round.

Fixtures:

JFL: We were due to play Eire Og last night Wednesday in Smithboro.                        Aghabog v Drumhowan at 2pm this Sunday 8th July in Aghabog

 

LADIES NOTES

Senior League: We defeated Scotstown last Sunday in the senior league. Best wishes to Martina Larmer who got injured during this game.

Reserve League:  Next fixture, Aghabog V Magheracloone in Magheracloone on Sunday 8th at 12.30. Well done to the girls on their performance in the Abbey Fanning blitz last Saturday, we were defeated in the semi-final by Donaghamoyne.

BBQ: Our annual Bar-b-que is being held on Sat 4th August as part of the Aghabog festival weekend. Tickets are €7 and available from any committee member. Good night’s craic guaranteed.

Ronan Leonard Blitz: We are proposing to hold the Ronan Leonard blitz on Monday 6th August. Clubs will be contacted.

U/12: We play O’Neill’s next Monday in Aghabog at 7pm. Next fixture takes us to St. Bridget’s on the 16th at 7pm.

U/14:  Training on Monday at 6.30pm.

U/16 and Minor Training:  Training continues on Monday at 6.30 sharp. Competitive games will resume within the next week.

Flag day  A big thank you to all who collected and supported our annual flag day last Saturday. It was a great success.

Congratulations:  to former player, Catriona Brady and Bonnie, on the birth their baby girl, Emma.

Old phone collection: The club have signed up for the collection of old phones in conjunction with the Jack & Jill foundation as part of our fundraising. Collection boxes are located in Gallagher’s shop, Aghabog and Connolly’s shop, Scotshouse. So dig out your old phones and support this as both organisations will benefit from the collection.

Sympathy:  The club extends its sympathy to the McGuirk family, Crossbane, on the death of Bernadette.
