Doohamlet and Inniskeen both made winning starts to the McGuigan Builders Intermediate Football Championship over the weekend, setting up a first-round meeting between the two teams who were relegated from senior last year. Oram caused arguably the result of the opening weekend of championship matches when they beat Clones in the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship preliminary round. Six points from Pauric Graham helped Oram to a deserved win against a disappointing Clones side.
