Doohamlet GFC Notes

Reserves:  Doohamlet and Drumhowan met in this local derby on Wednesday evening last and the home side never seemed in danger of losing this game.  Shane Connolly, Christopher Boylan and Jason McElroy all played well in defence.

Greg Duffy and Stephen Gilsenan dominated midfield and our forwards were all on fire with Philip Mone, Johnny Duffy, Ollie Hughes and Barry McBennett all on the score sheet.

With two recent victories over our nearest challengers Doohamlet are now in the top four and looking for a semi-final spot.

Seniors:  Our Senior team played Toome last night Wednesday and have an away game on Sunday against Corduff.  Note early throwin 12 noon.

Lorcan & Wayne Memorial Cup:  With just over a month to go before our unique Golf Challenge almost All Clubs in the County have entered a team.

On Friday evening we will launch this special event in Connollys beginning at 9.30pm.  Special Guests will attend on the night and anyone can attend this launch evening.

Go Games:  Well done to all who helped in any way with this highly successful event with a large turnout of teams from the County involved and O’Neill Park was awash with many club colours.  A big Thank You to the Drumhowan club who facilitated our Senior team with their grounds for training on Monday evening due to this event at O Neill Park.  A kind gesture indeed.
