Senior League:

The 2012 Credit Union Senior Football League is now in well under way, with three games completed to date. Scotstown drew their first game at home to the Harps, defeated Carrickmacross away, and lost to Clontibret away last Saturday. The team against Clontibret was: R. Beggan; D. Morgan, W. Carroll, C. Treanor; F. McPhillips, D. Hughes, B. McMeel; F. Caulfield (0-2), S. Sherry; D. McCague, B. McGinnity (0-2), O. Heaphey; J. Hamill, S. Carey (0-2), E. Maguire (0-1). Subs used: D. McCrudden, D. McArdle, P. Grant. They have a home game on Wednesday evening against Latton at 7.30pm, then Truagh are the next opposition on Sunday at 4pm at St. Mellan’s.

Reserve League Division One:

A depleted B team went down by a single point to Tyholland at home last Wednesday evening 1-6 to 0-10. The Scotstown team was: S. Maguire; R. Caulfield, W. Carroll, C. Mohan; F. Treanor, F. McPhillips, B. McMeel; D. Caulfield, D. McCague (0-2); S. Rice (0-1), P. Grant (0-2), J. Hamill (1-1); N. McCrudden, M. McDevitt, D. Stirrat. Sub used: M. McCrarren. The focus for the B’s will now switch to the O’Duffy Cup (Championship) game away to Carrickmacross on Friday, May 4th.

Reserve League Division Three:

The C team have had their shooting boots on lately, with four goals against Castleblayney and five against Truagh in recent victories. The lads are third in the table after four games with two wins, a draw and a loss. The next fixture is the Crawley Cup Championship this Friday evening, April 27th at home to Blackhill, throwing in at 7.15pm.

Minors:

The minors have been in good form this season with recent home victories against Castleblayney and Killanny. They are in action away to Clontibret on Tuesday evening throwing in at 7.15pm. The next fixture after that is at home against Monaghan Harps on Tuesday, May 1st with a 7.30pm start.

Under 16s:

The B team were in action on Monday night against Blackhill and recorded their first win of the season. The Division One side are in action on Thursday night, April 26th when they play Monaghan Harps away at 7pm.

Under 14s:

The Division 5 team opened their campaign last Saturday, putting up a good display despite losing to Aghabog. The Division 1 team overcame Clontibret in a tough match on Saturday. They have also qualified for the Championship Final following wins over Truagh and Donaghmoyne, which were characterised by excellent team performances. The Final is due to be played on May 5th, with neighbours Emyvale the opponents.

Under 12s:

The Under 12 teams are back in action in the Spring Leagues on Saturday at Emyvale. The B team are up first at 12 noon, followed by the A team at 1.15pm. The A team will be looking to keep up their 100% record, while the B team will be looking for their first win of the season.

Under 10s:

Boys Under 10 training begins on Wednesday, May 2nd from 6-7pm at Kilmore. Registration for boys who wish to take part will be from 5.45pm on that evening also at Kilmore. The fee for the year is €10, and training is only open to boys born between 2002-2005.

Fundraiser for Shauna McPhillips Retts Syndrome Fund, hosted by Marty Morrissey and featuring top Irish sports personalities on Sunday, May 6th at 8pm in the Hillgrove Hotel. Tickets are €10 – contact any committee member.

Come Dine With An Bhoth:

Our latest fundraiser is based on the popular TV show ‘Come Dine With Me’. We are looking for people to host a fun evening on Saturday 26th May by inviting family and as many friends as you know to your house for dinner. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Jamie or Gordon please contact any committee member.

Ciste:

The Ciste Mór draw for the month of April will take place this Saturday night in the Social Club at the Complex. Usual prizes on offer – tickets €7.

Bar Rota:

Stephen McKenna and Gene McCarey will be on duty at the weekend.

Sympathy:

The club extends sympathy to the family and friends of the recently deceased, including Anna McVicar, Clara.

Senior Ladies:

Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.15pm in Kilmore. All players should be in Kilmore no later than 7pm. The girls had their first outing in the League but lost out to a stronger Inniskeen side. We had a few new faces making their debut for the senior team including Megan Ward, Alana McCarey, Eimear McKenna, Fionnuala Caulfield and Laura Carey. The girls defeated Monaghan Harps on Sunday in their second game of the season. Well done to the new management team of Gene McCarey and Massy Boylan on their first win, and best of luck for the year ahead.

Ladies Minors:

Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.15pm in Kilmore – all players should be at Kilmore no later than 7pm.

Ladies U16s:

The girls take on Emyvale in a home fixture tonight, Thursday at 7pm. Good luck to the girls and their new management team of Lisa Morgan, Sinead McGonnell and Martin Kilpatrick. Training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7.15pm in Kilmore. All players should be at Kilmore no later than 7pm.

Ladies U14s:

Training continues every Thursday night at 6.30pm at Kilmore. The girls lost out to Donaghmoyne last Monday night in the Féile. We wish Kevin Keenan and his management team the best of luck for 2012.

Ladies U10s:

Training begins for all eligible under 10 girls on Monday, April 30th at 6.30pm at Kilmore East. Registration forms will be available on the night, so it would be appreciated if you can bring along the €20 registration fee.

Ladies Registration Night:

A registration night for all players will take place on Tuesday, May 1st from 6.30pm – 7.15pm at Kilmore (above the shop). Club registrars Martina Larmer, Michelle Treanor or Lisa Treanor will be on hand to collect the appropriate fee: €50 for Seniors and €35 for Under 18’s.

To Siobhan McCarra who underwent surgery on her knee recently. We wish Siobhan a speedy recovery and hopefully it won’t be too long before we see her in action again.
