Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 26th April

All Ireland Scor: It was planes, trains and automobiles to Killarney last weekend for our Scor Set Dance Team and the merry band of supporters for the All Ireland Final. Competition was extremely tight in all sections and on the day each province came home with two awards each. Unfortunately for Ulster and Emyvale the title eluded them and the winners of the Set Dance competition were from Glenflesk, Kerry. We weren’t too disappointed on the day as we proved a point of difference by dancing the Caledonian Set and we certainly raised the stakes when our excellent performance left more than the adjudicators talking!!

Our thanks to Gerard and the team for their continued hard work and dedication. This particular team’s status in Scor will be recorded in history books as it is truly amazing that they have competed at this level consistently for the past four years. A task only matched by the Kilkenny Hurling team! Our thanks too to the supporters who travelled to be with the team, it is very much appreciated by all involved. We extend our congratulations to Errigal Ciaran GAC, Ballygawley who picked up gold medals for their excellent Novelty Act and to Bellaghy, Derry who won the instrumental music. Comhgairdeas go leir!!
