Alpha Lotto – Winning Letters for last Sunday nights lotto in the Skule Inn was M,H,L,ACongratulations to Frank Toal Killykeeragh who scooped the jackpot of €3,700. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were Ollie Treanor, Mulladuff, Seamus Treanor, Smithboro, Geraldine Lambe, Magherarney, Daragh McCluskey, Smithboro, Eileen, James & Donal Leonard, Carnowen, Canon McCabe, Roslea, Jimmy Leonard, Lisgall . Next Sunday nights draw will be held in Bens Place.  The Jackpot now stands at €1,000. Thanks to all for your continued support to what is an essential club income. Weekly tickets can be purchased at a number of outlets in the village or from any club member. Alternatively you can become a yearly or quarterly subscriber to the Lotto by contacting any of our club members. MD = Monthly Draw, SM = Special Member. Team D is on lotto duty on Sunday 29th April.

 

Cardiac Screening Day: The Healthy Hearts Healthy Lives heart screening clinic will visit the club on Saturday 12th May 2012. This service will be available to everyone in the community aged between 14 and 35.  Please note that anyone under 16 years of age must have parental/guardian consent. Each person being screened is required to complete a questionnaire and the cost to be screened is €45 per person. Anyone interested in being screened, or parents / guardians who wish to have their child screened should contact Margaret Tierney on 047 57021 after 6pm to book

Ladies Football – Under 14: Last Monday 23rd April, we played O’Neills Shamrocks and lost out 5-11 to 1-0 which was scored by Rebecca Hughes. Although we put up a great performance many of the girls were exhausted from playing an Ulster quarter-final for their school, Largy College, earlier that day. Congratulations to all those girls through to the Ulster semi-final. Next training Tuesday 1st May at 6pm.
Under 16: Last Friday the U16s played against Killanny.  We won 0-8 to 1-1. Scorers were Megan McElvaney (3), Natasha Nolan (2), Grainne McCluskey (1), Robeyn Lambe (1) and Nicole Rooney (1). Next game is tonight 26th May away to Latton. Meeting at pitch at quarter to 6. Next training Sunday 29th April at 12.

Ladies Monthly Meeting – The Ladies Committee Meeting will take place tomorrow, Friday 27th April at 8.300pm in the Club Meeting Rooms. All committee members are asked to attend

Under 6,8 & 10 Coaching Mornings –Our under-age coaching for our under-6s, under-8s and under-10s continues on Sunday mornings in Railway Park at 11.15am. Both boys and girls over 5 years of age are very welcome, if your child is interested bring them along to any of the sessions where they will be made most welcome.

Under 12- The under 12 team play Clones this Saturday, 28th April, in Smithboro. Throw-in at 12 noon. They will then take on Ballybay the following Tuesday, 1st May at 7 p.m. in Ballybay.

Under 14 -Well done to the under 14 team who defeated Inniskeen last Saturday on a score line of  3-20 to 0-13 to make a winning start to their season. Their next game is away to Cremartin on Saturday May 5th at 12 noon.

Under 16 –The U-16 recorded a 6-16 to 3-4 win over Oram on Thursday last. This was followed on Monday night with a trip to Rockcorry where we again recorded victory to secure another valuable 2 points. League Position: Played 3, Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 0, Points 5. Tonight (Thursday) we are at home to Killeevan. Throw in at 7pm.

Under 18 – St Tiernachs played Inniskeen on Tuesday night last in round 3 of the minor league.

Garda Vetting Forms – Are available from Dan Toal. All coaches and mentors are required to be garda vetted

Sympathy – The club extends sincerest sympathy to the family of the late  John Hurson, Drumagelvin. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations – to Kieran and Lisa Sherlock on the birth of their first child recently, a little boy Jamie.

Reserves – On Wednesday night 18th April, the reserve team travelled to the south of the county to play Kilanny and came away with a 5 point victory. Final score line read Eire Og 2-10 Kilanny 0-11. League Position: Played 4, Won 3, Drawn 0, Lost 1, Points 6. Next game is away to Monaghan Harps tomorrow evening Friday 27th at 7.15pm in the first round of the Crawley Cup.

Seniors – The seniors played out a draw with Oram on Sunday last on a score line of 1-08 apiece. Last night, Wednesday the seniors were down to play Killeevan. Please see results elsewhere. League Position: Played 3, Won 1, Drawn 1, Lost 1, Points 3. Next game is at home to Clones on Sunday 29th April at 4pm.
