Alpha Lotto – Winning Letters for last Sunday nights lotto in the Bens Place was D,G,H,XThere was no Jackpot winner. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were Caine Toal, Magherarney, Farah Lambe, Annaghmartin, Tierney Family, Lisgall, Brendan Treanor, Magherarney, Tony Coughlan, Meadows, Kevin Skeath, Cornafaghy, Wilma Fitzpatrick, Tyholland. Next Sunday nights draw will be held in the Skule Inn with the Jackpot standing at €3,400. Monies raised from Alpha Lotto are essential to funding the running costs of the club and the effort of all our patrons& sellers is greatly appreciated, without you we wouldn’t be able to progress the club forward and build towards the future by improving facilities etc. Team A is on lotto duty on Sunday 8TH April.

 

Spring Clothes Collection– Time to sort out the Wardrobes? Have a big clear out before summer? Yes! The club is organising a used/old clothes, shoes (in pairs only), handbags & accessories collection on Saturday 14th April from 10am till 4pm which will help raise much needed funds. So we ask you to support us and spread the word to friends, relatives and neighbours.Items can be dropped to the club grounds between these times or we can organise to have them collected for you.Please note pillows & duvets cannot be accepted.

Cardiac Screening Day: The Healthy Hearts Healthy Lives heart screening clinic will visit the club on Saturday 12th May 2012. This service will be available to everyone in the community aged between 14 and 35.  Please note that anyone under 16 years of age must have parental/guardian consent. Each person being screened is required to complete a questionnaire and the cost to be screened is €45 per person. Anyone interested in being screened, or parents / guardians who wish to have their child screened should contact Margaret Tierney on 047 57021 after 6pm to book

Under 6, 8 & 10Juvenile registration took place on Sunday last for under 6, Under 8 and under 10 boys & girls, the day enjoyed a great turnout but if there is anyone who didn’t get a chance to register on Sunday can do so at training on Sunday morning next. Training will start at 11.15am and finish at 1pm. Both boys and girls over 5 years of age are very welcome.

Under 12- The U-12s travelled to Threemilehouse on Saturday to take on local side Sean McDermotts. Our lads put in a great effort and ran out winners by 2 points. The next training is on Wednesday at 7pm in the training field.

Under 14 – Training for Under 14’s continues this Thursday evening at 7pm on the main pitch.  The U-14 league will commence on Saturday 21st April when we play host to Inniskeen in Smithboro.

Under 16 – Training for Under 16’s continues on Monday evenings at 7pm on the main pitch. The U-16 League begins on Thursday 12th April at 7pm at home to Corduff in Smithboro. Preparations for the league have been going well with challenge games being played against Clones, Scotstown and Sean McDermotts.

Under 18 – are away to Aughnamullen on Tuesday 10th April in the first game of the league. Throw in time of 7pm.The minors will operate under the name of St Tiernachs – this being an amalgamation of Eire Og, Clones & Currin.

Reserves – Next outing will be on Saturday 7th April with a home game against Blackhill Throw in time is fixed for 6.30pm.

Seniors – Recorded a 4 point win at home to Blackhill on Sunday last.

Easter Cul Camp: A 3-day Gaelic Games Easter Camp for boys and girls aged 5-10 years takes place on the 10th, 11th and 12th of April. The camp runs each day from 10.30am until 2.30pm at the Scotstown Training Grounds at Kilmore East. Ladies Football – U12 & U14 – training continues on Tuesday evenings from 6pm till 7.30pm in the main pitch. U-14’s played Latton in the first game of the league on Monday night last – final score was a 2 point win to Latton. Next game is on Monday 9th April away to Aughnamullen at 6.45pm.

Get Well Soon – The club sends its best wishes to club medic Moira McBride who was recently hospitalised.

Lucozade Sport Club Crusade – The club have registered for the Lucozade Sports Club Crusade competition. Alan McGorman will be calling around to all training sessions in the coming weeks with information and posters on the competition.
