Latton GFC Notes – Week Beginning 26th March 2012

 

* Lotto
on Sunday 25thin Joe Rice’s bar numbers drawn were: 19-12-22-26  Bonus No. 3. No winner. €20 winners, Peggy Duffy Latton, Damien Duffy Latton, Paul & Jack Mc Mahon, Oisin Lennon Main st Cootehill. THIS WEEKS JACKPOT: €16,800. Draw will take place Paddy Lynch’s Lisnalong.

* Senior Football

A busy time for our reserve team over the next ten days with games at home to  Scotstown in Latton on Friday evening at 6 45, They also play Clontibret on Sunday at 2 o’clock. Then we are away to Truagh on sat 7th april.

 

Senior challenge

Our senior team played Cullaville in a challenge last Sunday morning in what was a very good run out for both teams played in ideal conditions.  It  was a great opportunity  for some of our younger players to get a run on the senior team and they did not disappoint, Thomas Connolly scored four great points from play and Colm mc Elroy come off the bench to hit two points. Committee Meeting

A meeting of the Executive Committee will take place (Thursday) the 5th April at 9 0’clock.

Monaghan GAA Gaelteacht scholarships

Gaelteacht scholarships interviews will be held in community enterprise centre Castleblayney on Saturday 21st April at 10 am .For further information contact  Niamh on (086) 8543876.

U-12

We played Doohamlet on Saturday at 3 o’clock, Played in ideal conditions we were treated to a good game from two very skilful teams .Latton finished the stronger and won by six points.   The next game is away to Aughnamullen on Saturday 31st march at 12 0’clock. Training on Tuesday evenings at 6 o’clock sharp.

Juvenile presentation night

On Friday last our young players enjoyed a great night in the centre where Dublin captain Brian Cullen made presentations to our winning teams. After the presentations Brian posed for photos with young and old. The kids were treated to food from Gerrys takeaway. The night was rounded off with a disco in the main hall. Thank you to Owen Lennon for contacting Brian. Thanks to all our juvenile management for organising the night and all their hard work last year. Let’s hope the year ahead is as successful.

Training on Saturday morning for all girls & boys 10 o’clock

A registrations morning will be held at centre on Sat morning the 31st March at 10 o’ clock. Followed by training in the field. Parents should bring a photo copy of the child’s birth cert. Children must be 6 years old on or before 1st Jan 2012.

All parents

Parents should return registration forms to all juvenile team managers as soon as possible.

U-16

Training continues on Thursday evenings at 7 0’clock.
