Alpha Lotto – Winning Letters for last Sunday nights lotto in Bens Place was C,O,M,N

There was no Jackpot winner. The winners of the €20 lucky dips were Harry Connolly , Dyan, Dessie Mc Kenna , c/o Bens, Majella Bannon , Maple Grove – SM, Jimmy Mc kenna , Magherarney, Imelda Mc Phillips , Mulladuff – SM, Jim O/ Rouke , Magherarney – SM, Kevin Mc Aloon , Roslea . Next Sunday’s draw will be held in the Skule Inn with the Jackpot standing at €2,800. Monies raised from Alpha Lotto are essential to funding the running costs of the club and the effort of all our patrons & sellers is greatly appreciated, without you we wouldn’t be able to progress the club forward and build towards the future by improving facilities etc. Team A is on lotto duty on Sunday 11th March.

 

Poker Classic – The club’s annual poker classic will take place in the Skule Inn on Friday, March 16th. Proceedings will get underway at 8pm.Tickets are priced at €30 and are available from any club member. There is guaranteed prize money of a 40% pay out on the night, we would expect to match, if not exceed, last year’s prize fund. Buy backs and top ups will again be in operation. There will be refreshments served on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated and come along for a great night.

Committee Meeting – The next Committee Meeting will take place on Monday next 12th March at 8.30pm in the Club Meeting Rooms. All committee members are asked to attend.

Best Wishes – On behalf of the club, I wish to extend sincere best wishes to Margaret Cassidy on the occasion of her recent retirement as principal at Gransha National School. Also to Maria Cassidy on her retirement from Magheraney National School. The club would like to wish both Margaret and Maria a long, happy and healthy retirement

Congratulations- Congratulations to Padraig and Maura McKenna on the birth of their little boy Fiachra recently.

Sympathy – The club would like to extend its sympathy to the Kerr family, Monaghan & Smithboro on the death of the late Bridie Kerr, wife of Gerry Kerr . May she rest in peace.

Cake Sale – Smithboro Boxing Club are holding a cake sale on Sunday 18th March “Mothers day “after 11 30am mass. We would be very grateful if any ladies or gents would like
to bake or donate cakes, buns, bread, apple tarts etc. There will be a committee
member at the club from 10.30am to accept your goodies. All donations and support
on the day will be very much appreciated
