Club Registration Night: a reminder to all parents of under-age players that club registration takes place this Tuesday evening at 8.00pm in Clontibret Community Centre. Parents will be required to sign a membership form, along with their daughter, following an input from Mary McQuaid, our Children’s Officer. So parents please ensure both you and your daughter(s) are present.

Mum Without Me’ continues on Clontibret pitch this Saturday at 4pm. Well done to the ‘Mammies’ who are really working hard and picking up the skills of the game at a terrific rate. Keep it up ladies!

Please note that the fundraising Clothes Collection which was scheduled to take place on Fri. 24th has been changed to Thurs, 23 Feb. Bags of clothes and linen can be left at (not in) the clothes bank at the football field as early as possible and will be collected later in the day. All of the money (sterling) raised goes towards paying affiliation and referees fees in the Armagh Leagues so your support is appreciated.

Plans are well advanced for our Club Presentation event which takes place on Saturday March 3 in the Westenra Arms, Monaghan. A buffet followed by presentations to our U-14, U-16, senior club and county players will be followed by dancing to Tiger Named Alf. Tickets are selling well – but don’t leave it too late to book yours!

A reminder that the Monaghan Partnership ‘Child Protection Course’ takes place tomorrow evening, Thursday, in the Castleblayney Enterprise Centre at 6.30 sharp.

Senior training commences this Friday at 7.30pm while underage training continues each Tuesday at 6pm. And yes, a Beginners Group will get underway shortly as soon as a little more help is identified but fear not, they have not been forgotten!!

Best wishes to Karen Boyle who will line-out for St. Pat’s this weekend in the Ashbourne Cup competition in Waterford. Commiserations to Aisling McElvaney who was part of the UUJ team defeated – by Monaghan! – in the O Dowd Cup final recently.

Birthday greetings to Arlene Brennan who celebrates her 16th birthday next week and ‘Bonjour’ to Kellie, Aoife, Ailbhe and Orlaith who currently are having a swell time on a student trip in Paris!
