Off the Booze and On the Ball.

The climax to this novel and healthy initiative will be reached on Saturday next when our intrepid volunteers will set out from the Lennard Arms Hotel at 11.00 a.m. There is a rumour that they might even be home in time to see a certain cup match. Some may even make it for the second half, if they don’t loose their way.

M’s Josie Duffy, R.I.P.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of M’s Josie Duffy, on Sunday last. Josie has had a unique place in the history of the Currin club.  In 1971 Josie was elected as assistant secretary of the club and along with Kathleen Kellegher (nee Mc Entee) they became the first female administrators of the club. Josie’s commitment to the community was exceptional and her advice was often sought and always forthcoming. We extend our sympathy to her surviving family members. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.
