Monaghan GAA Annual Awards Night
The Annual county awards will be held in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan on Friday 27th January 2012. Currin GFC will receive the Annual Special Merit Award on the night. This is a great honour for our club. Tickets are €30 each and will be available from the committee next week for anyone who wishes to attend. Dinner will be served at 8.00pm sharp.
Off the Booze and On the Ball.
Sponsorship cards are currently doing the rounds for this excellent GAA initiative. 15 players have signed up for the scheme plus at least one chronically challenged administrator.. A fun challenge with a healthy twist inviting participants to abstain from alcohol for the month of January and in doing so seek sponsorship to go towards their local GAA club. The lads will run from Clones to Scotshouse on 28th January to show the benefits…..so please support them in their efforts.
Team Manager
Team manager for the coming year is Declan Mc Kiernan. Declan hails from a family that for a long number of years has been synonymous with all that is good in the Currin club. The players met with Declan last weekend and plans for the coming year were outlined. All were very excited about the prospect of playing senior club football, something not many ever get the chance to do.
Congratulations
Congratulations and best wishes to Dick who got married to Alison on 28th December. All our members wish them well for the future. Also congratulations to Ellen Mc Carron who celebrated her 21st birthday with her family and friends last weekend.
